TurboFlow and Multiplexing Technology to Eliminate Sample Preparation and Increase Sample Throughput
TurboFlow Technology
Conventional liquid chromatography (LC) systems, among the most widely used separation tools currently available for drug discovery and development, have drawbacks because they rely on laminar flow technology to achieve results. Inherent speed limitations and separation barriers ill-suited for many of today's complex and highly regulated drug discovery and development challenges render traditional HPLC systems less than optimal.
Thermo Fisher Scientific has developed a breakthrough online sample extraction technology known as TurboFlow® to addresses these challenges. Our patented TurboFlow technology breaks the separation barriers often associated with traditional LC by delivering the fastest separation technology in the industry.
Multiplexing Technology
Our multiplexing systems are designed to significantly improve productivity and throughput, bringing the productivity of up to four separate LC systems to a single mass spectrometer (MS) or other detector. Each system operates independently, permitting multiple methods to run simultaneously. This critical feature helps avoid costly downtime associated with traditional LC-MS/MS systems, whose detectors are typically idle more than three-quarters of the time. With the sophisticated LX-4 system, for example, your MS approaches 100% efficiency, thereby generating the throughput of four traditional systems while maximizing the productivity of one MS.
