Cohesive Technologies Announces the Aria LX-4 Parallel HPLC Series with Rheos 2000 Flux Pumps
- March 11, 2002
Cohesive Technologies announced today that it has further expanded its Aria product line to include support for the Rheos 2000 pumps by Flux Instruments. The addition of Rheos 2000 pumps for the Aria LX-4 will allow Cohesive to further develop instrumentation that will both increase throughput and improve data quality. Cohesive’s current Aria LX-4 systems bring the productivity of four separate LC systems to a single mass spectrometer (MS), thereby quadrupling the throughput of a traditional LC system without having to change existing laminar flow methods. The Flux pumps will provide an alternative pump system for Cohesive’s LX-4 that will achieve even more consistent performance and better separation at lower flow rates than with other pump systems.
The new pumps offer conditions that are ideal for high productivity instrumentation. A consistent low dead volume, and sharper, more linear ballistic gradients, dramatically improve the robustness of the systems at lower flow rates. (Flow ranges are 1.0 – 2000µ1/min for isocratic and 25 - 2000µ1/min for gradient; flow accuracy of +/- 0.5% @ 200µl/min).
John Brann, Vice President, Instrumentation, explains, “Addition of the Flux pumps to our existing product line is a direct result of our focused effort to enhance the range of LC solutions for our customers changing needs. Our existing Aria LX-4, coupled with the latest pump enhancement for low flow rates, enables us to offer even more paths to productivity for our customers’ discovery and development programs.”
Cohesive Technologies Inc. develops, manufactures, and markets novel liquid chromatography systems and chemistries for the pharmaceutical drug discovery and development marketplace. These products have made Cohesive a leader in developing new technology tools that accelerate high-throughput bioanalysis.
